Iperu Microfinance Bank Ltd. (IMBL), formerly known as Iperu Community Bank Nig.
Ltd., was established as a limited liability company on May 7, 1991, and began
operations on September 16, 1991. In September 2007, the bank transitioned into a
Unit Microfinance Bank. Operating under the Community Banks Act of 1992, IMBL
focuses on community banking. Its head office is located at Dapo Soyege House, 120
Akesan Road, Iperu Remo, Ogun State, Nigeria.
It was transformed in line with the CBN Microfinance Policy Regulatory and Supervisory Framework of 2005 which was revised in September, 2013
with the main objective of making credit available to the active poor and small entrepreneurs who are denied of such access by the conventional banks.
The bank has since inception engaging in making microloans available to the active poor to assist them in running their businesses.
At present, the Board of Directors of the Bank comprises of five (5) members.
